I WAS ASKED TO POST THIS. YES IT'S ALL TRUE AND NOW YOU KNOW THE TRUE STORY.

Joe and Franci has worked with Paul Mitchell as well as other greats. They are Award Winning Hairstylist. Franci is known as THE STYLIST TO THE STARS. She is well know in the film industry and has won many awards. The highest is the AWARD OF EXCELLANCE. You can't get any higher than that. Joe opened the first Natural Hair salon in the State of Iowa. It was called OUR OWN PLACE, located in Des Moines. He also was the first to allow men to come in his salon. Many Rock Stars came to his Salon and got the famous Shag Cut. Many complaints against him took place. It was illegal for men to come in a Beauty Salon. He wasn't about to turn the singers away and eventually he was arrested and he and an instructor from Americana Beauty School in Des Moines, Iowa were thrown in jail. He had his day in court. The rest is history. Cosmetologist won the case and men were allowed to come in Salons. Franci and Joe went on to be Platform Artist with Paul Mitchell. Traveled the world and brought American Hairstyles to London. He invented the VAC CUT and perfected the Perfect Vertical. Vidal Sassoon once told him to tell people he was from England when he was interviewed by the California Media. Joe was proud to tell the News Cast in L.A. that he was from America. Franci is an amazing color Artist. She has her own method of Hair Coloring. We are proud to be an important part of history. There are many great Hairstylist in America. "trust" in them. Although Joe still works behind the chair, he has dedicated his skills to SHEAR SHARPENING and SHEAR DESIGNING. After all, he knows how shears are suppose to be. Franci and Joe are also active in the movie industry as Actors as well as Hair and Makeup Artist. They own SUPER HAIR WEST located in West Des Moines, Iowa. It's easy for them to travel to New York or LA. His Line of SUPER SHEARS have caught on in the hair cutting industry. He doesn't believe in gouging Hairstylist. He gives everyone a special price. After serving six years in the Marine Corp. during the Vietnam war, he went to Sal’s College of Hairstyling in Des Moines, Iowa. Right after graduating from Beauty school he met up with Paul Mitchell in New York. They became the best of friends and Paul taught Joe many new Hairstyles. Joe came back to Iowa and opened the first Natural Hair salon in the State of Iowa. He also was the first to allow men to come in his salon.
