Great Scripture!!

2 Chronicles 1:11-12 11 Then God said to Solomon: "Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life — but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king — 12 wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like." NKJV I was reading a friends post the other day and saw once again someone respond with the phrase " we are not supposed to Judge " . That needs to be looked at closer . We are supposed to Judge but not to condemn , sometimes you need to take an unclear verse and look up the words that you think you know what they mean . 1 Kings 3:6-9 6 And Solomon said: "You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. 9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. NKJV 9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. NKJV 1 Kings 8:31-32 31 "When anyone sins against his neighbor, and is forced to take an oath, and comes and takes an oath before Your altar in this temple, 32 then hear in heaven, and act, and judge Your servants, condemning the wicked, bringing his way on his head, and justifying the righteous by giving him according to his righteousness. ...See More 2 Chronicles 1:11-12 11 Then God said to Solomon: "Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life — but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you ...See More You're right - as children of God we ARE to discern between good and evil. Many have fallen into traps and deception because they never built up their discernment and they can't tell if something is of God or not. I pray frequently that we'll all grow in discernment, and that we'll learn to love what God loves and hate what God hates.
