Water Lily Pie


Karen Allen Water Lily Pie 3 Eggs, separated 1 C sugar 1/2 lb butter 1/2 t. vanilla AND almond extract 1/2 t. cream of tartar Beat egg yolks until light, gradually adding sugar. Cream butter & extracts. Stir into egg mixture. Beat egg white until VERY stiff, slowly add 1/2 c. sugar and cream of tartar. Spread whites over buttered & floured PIE PLATE. Push toward edge, making depression in center. Carefully pour filling into middle. Bake in SLOW oven f/ 1 hour. IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE A WATER LILY- If it don't, u did something WRONG!
